Dolní Lhota is situated in the Zlín Region in Eastern Czech Republic. 
Dolni Lhota village lies in the Horni Olsava valley on the hills of the protected scenic district White Carpathian Mountains, which is 329m above sea
level. Horni Olsava river, formerly also called Stavnice, flows from Sehradice
and takes waters from the Horni Lhota stream on its way through.
There is a
busy throughfare crossing Dolni Lhota on the Luhacovice - Zlin route and another
road to Valasske Klobouky.The nearest train station is Luhacovice on the
Luhacovice - Uhersky Brod route or Zadverice on the Otrokovice - Zlin - Vizovice
route.
On the south side of Dolni Lhota are woodlands and a hill called
Kamenicna. The residential area is situated in the central and northern parts of
the village.
In percentage terms 43% of Dolni Lhota is covered with woods
which demonstrates the land has strong ecological stability. Dolni Lhota has
always been an agricultural land without major industry. Arable soil forms 22%
of the total area. A significent 19% of the area is covered in grass, 50 ha of
which is arable land and 245 ha woodland.
